St. Stanislaus Polish Festival
What does it take to make more than 26,000 pierogi? Time, dedication, and a whole lot of teamwork. Each year, beginning in late May, dozens of volunteers at St. Stanislaus Church in South Omaha come together to handcraft thousands of these traditional Polish dumplings in preparation for the annual Polish Festival, held every third Sunday in August. Below are the feature films I created, capturing the heart, heritage, and hard work behind this beloved community tradition.

St. Stanislaus Church Celebrates 50 Years of Tradition
St. Stanislaus Catholic Church celebrated the 50th anniversary of their annual polish festival on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Dozens of volunteers worked all summer long creating 26,591 handmade pierogis: a popular polish dumpling filled with kraut, potato and cheese. Here's a short film I shot and produced with a look at the wonderful kitchen crew that made it all happen.
